I haven't been doing a very good job at updating pictures so I'm going to make a monster post today. Lots of pictures coming!
The 2008 Santa Pic. They both did really well.
Max's preschool is a Jewish school so they had their Hanukkah party a couple Fridays ago on their last day.
This Max and his friend Paul
Trying the traditional Hanukkah potatoe cakes, Latkes. He doesn't like potatoes, so they weren't a big hit, lol
The weekend before Christmas we went to visit my family and spend time with them. It was a lot of fun!
Aspen
slept through the gift exchange. She had to have been sooo tired,
because that girl never falls asleep in your arms. She likes her bed or
a bed to lay in.

Max getting some motorcyles I think. It was hard to keep track of what he did get,
Me with my nephew Stevena and Max. Sorry about Max's eyes, not sure what was going on there,

Aspen hanging out with Daddy
My
neice Lauren being super cute in her Christmas dress. We tried to get
her and Aspen matching dresses when we went shopping during after
Thanksgiving, but we couldn't find that one in the right size for
Aspen. I LOVE it though!
Aspen sitting with my mom. She is making her silly face. It's so funny! She does it all the time,

We
forgot to get a picture of the girls in their dresses together. I only
have this one when they were sitting on my aunt's lap. Excuse the dogs
and the random camera, lol
Max was so excited to open presents!

Aspen getting into the action too

On Christmas Eve we went to my aunt's house here in Louisville and spent the evening with them. We had the wii, so we went there and played that for a while. We also did our gingerbread house there. Max had a blast doing that! We had never done one before, but I can see that this will be a new tradition. Next year I'm going to try to do my own instead of getting a kit.

My aunt and Aspen

Max trying to put the icing on the top
All done!
The chimney went as soon as we were done,

The culprit,
Then we came back and did our Christmas letters and put out the cookies and food for the reindeer.

Aspen's 1st Christmas Eve

Macadamia Cookies and milk. Max also insisted that we give him grapes, so he put a bowl of grapes out after I took the picture

And he had to have one too

We also put out the reindeer food,

And one last go at the wii before bed. He was playing Mario Kart here,
Christmas Morning
Checking
out gifts from Santa. At our house, Santa only brings one gift (that is
left unwrapped) and he fills the stockings. The rest of the presents
are from us.
Checking out her ahem *new* learning home,

Batman pj's. They were a HUGE hit!
Found a box,

Opening his easel. Excuse the big pj's, lol. I couldn't find a 4 so I had to get a 5t, I didn't realize that would be that big

Opening
her present. We used the paper that came with the wii for the seahorse
since it was so much thicker than all the rest of the paper I had. We
thought the paper was silly anyways, who puts a picture of the gift on
the paper

Trying to get it with her mouth,
Trying out some new toys and pj's
Later that afternoon we went to Curt's parents to celebrate with his family. It was a nice time.
Aspen was getting a bit tired by then,
The cousins are all smitten with her

Opening his presents
Aspen got a doll from Curt's grandparents. She really liked it and still likes to play with it at home,

The kids playing Mario Kart later that day. This is Max's cousin James
Curt's
mom made all the kids new pillowcases and she made the boys new tote
bags with their names embroidered on them. Here is Max and James
showing off theirs.
Aspen hanging out with Aunt A
Max
at home lounging with his new pillows and his new blanket. The blanket
is one of those that you can wear. It's so warm and fuzzy! I want one,

Pretending to be asleep,
Silly Boy!
Curt's parents also gave him some footies pj's. He hasn't worn footies in a very looooooooooong time, lol.
And
finally, Max showing off his Batman watch that Santa brought. The one
thing he asked Santa to bring him for Christmas was a batman watch. He
was SO excited to get it!!
Thanks for looking!
What a fun bunch of pics. Glad you guys had such a wonderful Christmas. Hope Aspen is feeling better.

What a fun Christmas! I loved all the pics. That one of Aspen sleeping on your lap is hilarious.
