Aspen is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds. She is SUCH a
happy baby! We have been sooooo blessed with her. She has gotten really
great at crawling and now is into everything! Max is learning fast that
his toys are not safe anymore. It gets a little frustrating for him,
but he's catching on, lol.
Two Mondays ago Aspen had her last
set of 6 month shots (at 8 months). She screamed worse than any of the
others with those two. She was MAD! One of them put a large knot on one
side of her leg, but it didn't seem to bother her too much. She weighed
in at 14lb 7oz that day. We did an unofficial height check two days ago
at home so we could have a height to go with her weight and she was 25"
or at least that's what we got,
. She goes back in about three weeks from now for her 9 month
appointment. I doubt she will get any shots that day though because she
just finished her 6 month shots and I don't want her getting them too
close together. Plus we just paid for the last 6 month shots again and
they were the same as the other two a month before, $142. So I want to
space what we are paying out of pocket a little bit more. She's
expensive
Lately she has gotten so much better at standing by herself. I'm so proud of her. She just wants to keep up with Max so bad! She is constantly watching him and his every move. There is nothing like the excitement of having your first child and watching them reach each milestone, but there is also nothing like having that second child and watching them love and adore your firstborn. It amazing and we are having a blast watching the two of them together.
Some pictures for you!
Last night she was crawling around on my legs,
Standing
Tall like a big girl. She had been standing for a bit already and when
she didn't fall I went ahead and grabbed the camera and took some
pictures and did a video. She does really well when she has something
to hold onto. I remember when Max was learning how to walk and stand we
would hand him a block or a little ball and that always made his
balance better.

And a video of her standing. It's really cute!

She
is SO hard to feed lately! She just wants to constantly move. We used
to be able to give her breakfast when we first got up in the mornings
in the living room, but now she just wants to move move move! Curt was
trying so hard to feed her the other morning! So he just plopped her in
his lap and that worked a little better.
Playing with her doll,
Bathtime!
I let her sit in it like a big girl a few days ago to see how she would
do. She was just getting too squirmy for her little bath chair. She did
great just sitting in the water!

Sporting her red G

And finally, hanging out with Big Bro Max whom she just absolutely adores, and visa versa!

"Islam is the light!" I will think of that every time I see a baby doll now.
We had fun hanging with you guys on Saturday!
