Very Sick Little Girl

I've mentioned Aspen having a cough before. She's had it on and off for about 3 months now. The doctor prescribed her zyrtec a few weeks ago, but it really hasn't done much to help. It helps with the congestion but she still has the horrible cough. Recently the past week she has been getting worse. Tuesday night was SOOO awful. She kept coughing and literally couldn't stop. She was gagging and puking from coughing so much. It was so sad. I tried calling the pedi the next morning but their power was out and they weren't open because of the ice storm. They finally opened today and I called first thing this morning and got her in.
Well she has an ear infection in her right ear and pneumonia in her left lung. The doctor is hoping that we caught it early enough and he put her on a strong antibiotic to help with the ear infection and the pneumonia. He also put her on Singulair to get the coughing under control. He thinks that her cough is related to allergies instead of asthma because she isn't wheezing or laboring to breath or anything like that. I really hope she starts feeling better soon. My sister's baby spent a week in the hospital two weeks ago because she had pneumonia. I hoping Aspen doesn't get to the point where we need to take her to the hospital.
So if you could spare a few get-well vibes for Miss Aspen, we'd really appreciate it!

Poor Aspen. I hope she gets better soon or has gotten better since you posted this(sorry I'm behind). I still pray for her though.
