Since the beginning of
January Aspen has had a horrible time with ear infections. She has a
lot of fluid in her ears and antibiotics just don't seem to be helping
much. She's been on 5 different antibiotics in the past two months. I
hate having to give her so many antibiotics because of the risk of
building immunities to them. But she's been in a lot of pain lately. So
today we went back to the doctor again. The doctor said that she really
needs to have tubes put in her ears. I figured that is probably what he
would say since she has had such a problem the past few months. She
used to be such a great sleeper and now she is waking up a lot. She
used to eat great and she hasn't been eating much lately either. She
was up to 21 lbs and today she barely weighed 20lbs (20 lbs 2oz with
clothes and shoes on).
I'm not worried about the procedure at
all. Max had tubes and it's a pretty simple surgery. I'm not sure when
it will happen though. I have to make her initial ENT appointment
first.
